Arthur Kornberg (1918 – 2007)

He attended Abraham Lincoln High School. He graduated from City College of New York at the age of 19 in 1937and received an M.D. from the University of Rochester at the age of 23 in 1941. He received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1959 for the discovery of the mechanisms in the biological synthesis of ribonucleic acid and deoxyribonucleic acid.
