Paul Boyer (1918 – )

He graduated from Provo High School at the age of 16 in 1934. He attended Brigham Young University and received a B.S. in chemistry in 1939.  He received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 1943. He received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1997 for the clarification of the enzymatic mechanism for the synthesis of ATP.
